Washington Basic Health Plan

Washington Basic Health is a state-sponsored health program providing affordable health care coverage through private health plans.

Basic Health is for Washington State residents who are:

• Within Basic Health's income guidelines;
• Not be eligible for Medicare;
• Not institutionalized; and
• Not a full-time student in the United States on a student visa.

All health insurance plans in the Basic Health portfolio offer the same basic benefits.  However, monthly premiums, providers, and some details of coverage vary (such as which prescription drugs or preventive care services are covered).
