UPMC Health Plan is the second-largest health insurer in western Pennsylvania, and has been one of the fastest-growing health plans in the United States during its first six years of operation, and has been named a top-five plan in the Middle Atlantic region by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
UPMC Health Plan offers group clients a variety of benefit plan options, since the employees of those groups vary in the kinds of care they need and in how they want to access that care. Health plans available to group clients with two or more employees include Enhanced Access Health Maintenance Organization (EAHMO), Enhanced Access Point of Service (EAPOS), Exclusive Provider Organization (EPO), and Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) options.
In addition, UPMC Health Plan's Medicare supplement plans are available to eligible subscribers on an individual enrollment basis. Our Medicare + Choice HMO and PPO and their Medicare Select plans are also available to eligible subscribers on a group basis.
