Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island (NHPRI) was founded in 1993 by Rhode Island's Community Health Centers and is proud of its community-based heritage

NHPRI exists to improve access and health in Rhode Island. They are devoted to the people they serve and committed to delivering the highest quality, most cost-effective service.

Neighborhood Health Plan of RI serves more than 75,000 members. These are kids and moms and families who, for a variety of reasons, just need a little extra help right now. The majority of the parents are working, but do not receive health insurance through their employers. Yet, these parents remain full of hope, doing everything they can to provide a better life for their kids.

The nearly 185 employees of NHPRI come from diverse backgrounds, but are all committed to creating a more equitable health care system. Their array of experiences allows them to have a broad perspective and great creativity in facing whatever challenges arise.
