John Deere Health Care

John Deere Health Care, a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group , provides health insurance coverage and other health related services to about 510,000 residents of Illinois, Iowa, Tennessee, and Virginia.

Health plan members consist of John Deere employees, various commercial employers, and recipients of both Medicare and Medicaid.

John Deere Health Care was formed in 1985, a result of John Deere's success in controlling its own health care costs. John Deere plans to cease using the Deere company name by 2007.

"I just wanted to say thanks for helping me find a health insurance plan so efficiently. Your comparison listings are great - I 'sorted' through the quotes and selected a Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO plan within my budget. I wasn't looking forward to shopping for health insurance, thanks for making is so easy."
