Insure Oklahoma (IO)
Insure Oklahoma is a state sponsored health insurance program, established in April of 2004, that is designed to assist the uninsured in Oklahoma acquire affordable health insurance coverage.
The program will either pay a portion of an eligible individuals private health insurance or provide health coverage via Medicaid.
The Insure Oklahoma Individual Plan is available to the following groups 1) Working adults who do not have access to employer-sponsored coverage and work for a company with less than 100 employees 2) temporarily unemployed individuals and 3) working adults who have a disability.
To be eligible for Insure Oklahoma, you must fall into one of the three groups above and
- An Oklahoma resident
- A US citizen
- Between age 19 and 64
- Not be enrolled in Medicare or Medicaid
- Not eligible for the IO Employer Sponsored Program
- Not exceed household income limits
