FirstCare Individual Health Plans

FirstCare offers a PPO health plan as well as an HMO for individuals and families.

FirstCare PPO: you do not have to choose a Primary Care Physician. You may decide whether you will seek care from an in-network preferred provider, or from an out-of-network non-preferred provider.  FirstCare PPO also gives you the ability to choose from 4 different individual benefit plan options.

FirstCare Individual HMO Plan, you choose your Primary Care Physician from the area's largest network of doctors. You receive services from the doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies you know and trust.

in 1985, High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo Texas  joined with local physicians and other medical providers to help contain the rising costs of health care. The goal of the merged HMO-known today as FirstCare -was to provide the best health insurance at a reasonable price.
