PacifiCare of Colorado provides health
insurance products and related services to nearly 330,000
members in Colorado. The company is a subsidiary of
PacifiCare Health Systems.
Established as an HMO in 1974,
PacifiCare has steadily grown to become one of the largest
health plans in Colorado. Serving over 328,000 members in
a 33 county area, PacifiCare provides a variety of health
plan options.
A contracted network of 1,100 primary care physicians,
2,400 specialist, and 27 hospitals, including 16 full
service hospitals in the Denver-metro area, enables
PacifiCare to provide each member with the medical
resources to meet their health care needs.
In February of 1997 PacifiCare Health Systems acquired FHP
International. The contracted physicians, hospitals,
pharmacies and other providers you have come to know have
remained in our network. The quality health care coverage
offered by PacifiCare has not change as we are committed
to our members.
