Texas CHIP
Texas residents with uninsured children may be eligible to receive low-cost or no-cost health insurance coverage through Children’s Medicaid and CHIP (Children’s Health Insurance Program). Both of these health programs provide a wide range of health benefits, including regular check-ups and dental care to keep your children healthy.
CHIP Perinatal
In addition to Children's Medicaid and CHIP, residents who are pregnant, uninsured and otherwise not eligible for Medicaid may qualify for CHIP perinatal benefits. Coverage starts before the child is born and continues after the child’s birth. Total perinatal coverage is 12 continuous months from the date the unborn child is enrolled.
