Nevada Health Insurance for Children

The Nevada Check Up program (Children’s Health Insurance Program) is a low-cost, comprehensive health care program that provides health coverage to low-income, uninsured children (under age 19) who are not covered by private insurance or Medicaid.

The Nevada Check Up Program includes various levels of coverage for:  physician visits, chiropractic care, dental coverage, vision coverage, medical equipment, Inpatient and Outpatient hospital visits, prescription drugs, well-child, well-baby Visits, immunizations and more

The following criteria must be met in order to qualify for the Nevada Check Up Program:   1) The child is not eligible for Medicaid, 2) The child is a U.S. citizen (or qualified alien) 3) The child has not had health insurance for the last six months, or has recently lost health insurance for reasons beyond the parents' control, 4) The child is under age 19 at the date the coverage will begin; and  5) The family’s gross annual income is between 100% and 200% of the Federal Poverty Level guidelines.
