Kentucky Health Insurance for Children

KCHIP is short for Kentucky Children's Health Insurance Program.   It is a free or low-cost health insurance program for Kentucky's youth whose families do not make more than 200% of federal poverty level.

KCHIP covers:

• Doctors visits
• Dental Care
• Both Inpatient & outpatient hospital services
• Vision exams
• Lab Test & x-rays
• prescription drugs
• and much more.....

There are nearly 70,000 Kentucky children that are eligible for Kentucky state sponsored health plans that are not enrolled and who go without health insurance coverage
