A recently released report by America’s Health Rankings which measured the % of the adult population in each state that does not maintain health insurance coverage (either private or public) indicated that California has one of the highest uninsured rates in the country with 19.4% lacking health insurance. Ten years ago in 2001, California’s uninsured% was measured at 18.1%.
The 19.4% uninsured rate for ranked 45th of 50 states — meaning 44 states had a lower % of uninsured.

3) Health Net of California
4) California Physicians Service
5) Pacificare of California
