New Jersey Health Insurance Has FamilyCare

New Jersey, along with the rest of America, has a large population of low-income families struggling to pay for quality health care.  Health insurance plans in NJ can be costly, especially for families with multiple children.  The state recognizes that quality health care should be available to all residents so they have the NJ FamilyCare program which offers low to no cost health insurance for qualifying residents.

This program is often confused with welfare, but it is actually a plan offered through the state of New Jersey for children and qualifying parents and guardians.  This plan is funded through the federal and state government created to help uninsured children.  It’s a quality program offering a comprehensive list of benefits including doctor visits, eye glasses, hospitalization, lab tests, x-rays, prescriptions, mental health care and child dental visits.  This is a great variety of benefits that more expensive plans don’t always offer.

These types of state plans are invaluable to the welfare of some Americans.  With funding not always available, these plans can be at risk.  It’s important residents take advantage of these plans while they are still offered.  Enrollment can be quick and easy and can be fully completed over the phone.  Their website is comprehensive and thorough with eligibility requirements, enrollment statistics and immigrant information.  There is an application available online as well.
