HealthAmerica, has opened retail health insurance kiosks at 9 Pittsburgh area malls to answer questions and sell health insurance policies to individual health insurance customers as well as those over age 65 shopping for a Medicare health plan.

The HealthAmerica kiosks can be found at the following malls: Beaver Valley Mall, Clearview Mall, Monroeville Mall, Ross Park Mall, South Hills Village, The Mall at Robinson, Uniontown Mall, Washington Crowne Center and Westmoreland Mall.

These retail health insurance outlets are not a first as Highmark has opened retail stores called “Highmark Direct” also in Pennsylvania.  In addition, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida has several retail shops that have opened across the state of Florida over the last couple years.
