Highmark has launched a new innovative health insurance plan for individuals called Advance Blue. Advance Blue provides 100% coverage for preventative care and only requires small co-pays for doctor visits, prescription drugs and basic diagnostic testing. Maternity benefits and vision exams are also covered
Advance Blue is available in three areas covered by various Highmark health insurance companies.
- 29 counties in Western PA (Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield)
- 21 counties in Central PA and the Lehigh Valley (Highmark Blue Shield)
Advance Blue is available for Sept. 1 effective dates.
