UnitedHealthcare has annouced their 2011 Medicare Plans to the public earlier this month according to the press release released by Business Wire on MarketWatch.com. The Medicare plans include a comprehensive range of health care and prescription drug coverage looking to best suit Medicare beneficiaries across the country.
Currently, UnitedHealthcare health insurance offers its Medicare Advantage plans and stand alone Part D Prescription drug coverage plans to millions of members. In addition to this, over 2.9 million members are part of the Medicare supplement plans including AARP Medicare supplements, which will remain competitively priced in 2011.
In 2011, UnitedHealthcare plans on offering Medicare Advantage plans in 47 states and Washington DC. Over 90% of Medicare eligible consumers will be able to access a plan with a monthly premium of $0. UnitedHealthcare’s 2011 Part D Prescription drug plans will include cost-savings through many consumer benefits unique to their program. There will also be a new discount on brand name drugs in the coverage gap due to new federal regulation.
