Humana Health Insurance received the high honor from JD Power of best health insurer.  They received the best rating in all categories across the board except in claims processing and customer service.  If you live in Texas and are shopping around for major medical insurance quotes, the JD Power 2010 Health Insurance Plan Study is a great resource to use to determine which company is best for you.

Other companies rated were Aetna, which did not receive the highest rating in any category.  BlueCross BlueShield of Texas received the best rating in provider choice and customer service.  CIGNA did the worst, by receiving the lowest rating in every category.  UnitedHealthcare did okay, and received the best rating in claims processing.

You can use this information to determine what category has the most value for you.  Some major health insurance companies such as State Farm Health Insurance, were not rated in this report but you can get further information on various companies at their website or by searching on the web.
