Ideas for Health Care Reform

Mike Huckabee is in favor of
preventive health care, and that is a  key issue to him.  Huckabee's proposal seeks to:

Keep health care in the private sector and not restructure the system into a federally mandated
universal health care system.

Move from a primarily employer sponsored health care system to a consumer driven health care market.

 Make improvements to the private sector delivery system to rein in health care costs, and keep health insurance affordable.

Make health insurance tax deductible for individuals and families.

Low-income families would get tax credits instead of tax deductions.

Make Health Savings Accounts (HSA) available to more individuals, not just those with high deductible health plans.
